Monument to Peter Dobrynin

The monument to Peter Dobrynin is a monument to the revolutionary, a participant in the October armed uprising in Moscow, Peter Dobrynin . It was established on July 4, 1967 at the initiative of pioneers and schoolchildren of the Moskvoretsky district at the lobby of the Dobryninskaya metro station. The authors of the project are the sculptor Gennady Dmitrievich Raspopov and architect V. M. Pyaskovsky [1] [2] [3] . In 1997, it was assigned to objects of cultural heritage of regional significance [4] . Recent restoration work was carried out in 2009 and included the cleaning of various contaminants of the granite surface, the re-arrangement of stone chips, antiseptics and conservation work [5] .

The bust of red granite is located on a high pedestal on which the inscription is carved: “ Bolshevik Peter Dobrynin (born in 1894) is one of the organizers of the Red Guard of Zamoskvorechye . He died heroically for the Soviet regime in the days of the October battles of 1917 in Moscow ” [6] [7] [8] .
