Story

The events of the series unfold in the fictional city of Charterville. The three most common children - Drew, his sister Joe, and their friend Roland, find themselves in a local haunted house - Hillhurst. This mansion, in fact, is populated by the most real monsters, eager to eat curious guests. In the midst of flight, children accidentally hit the keys of an old organ, thereby freeing up a fantasy called Flabber. For this, he offers his rescuers to fulfill one of their every desire. Children choose to become comic book heroes - The Beatborgs. Their dream comes true in an instant. But at the same time, the Flabber spell accidentally revives the Beatborg enemies from the comics - the evil magnavors led by the tyrannical Vexor, who will throw all his strength and resources to destroy new superheroes, but in the real world.

Characters

The Beatborgs

  • Andrew “Drew” McCormick (played by Wesley Barker) - The Blue Beatborg, in the second season - The Golden Beatborg. Andrew is the leader in the Beatborg team. Flabber awarded him the ability of telekinesis, which was activated by pointing to the subject and a nod of the head. The base of Andrew’s armor was a rhinoceros beetle .
  • Roland Williams (role played by Herbie Bays) - The Green Beatborg, in the second season - The Silver Beatborg. His family runs a comic book store called Zoom Comics, where he, Joe, and Drew usually hang out. Flabber endowed him with super-speed ability, which was activated with the click of his fingers. The basis of Roland's costume was a stag beetle .
  • Josephine "Joe" McCormick (Shannon Chandler plays the role in episodes 1–39, Brittany Konazhevsky in episodes 39–88) - Red Beatborg, in the second season - Purple Beatborg, Drew’s younger sister. Clubber gave her super power, which she activated by cracking her knuckles. Joe's first armor was based on a female rhinoceros beetle , and purple armor was based on a ladybug . In the middle of season one, Wolfgang, playing with a magic book, accidentally cast a spell that caused Joe to change his appearance. Flabber used his magic to restore her former appearance and voice, but this did not affect those who witnessed the casting of the spell. Thus, the audience, Flabber, Drew, Roland and Joe herself, from this moment saw Joe in her new guise, but Hillhurst's monsters, as well as relatives and friends saw her as she was before. This non-standard storyline move was caused by the need to beat the sudden replacement of the actress.
  • Josh Baldwin (played by Warren Burkov) - The White Beatleborg, whom Flabber endowed with invisibility. She was activated by rubbing her hands. Josh has been on the team for a very short time as a counterweight to the evil Shadow Borg. After defeating the Shadow Borg, Josh lost his ability and returned to normal. Hercules beetle was taken as the basis of its armor.

Hillhurst dwellers

  • Flabber is a good fantasy trapped inside an organ. He was accidentally released by children, for which Flabber awarded them with the forces of superhero beetles.
  • Pharaoh (Mums) - Egyptian mummy, more than 5000 years ago was a prince.

  • Count Byakula (Count Fangula) is a vampire, the only monster who can understand what Wolfie is talking about.
  • Wolfie (Wolfgang) - a werewolf-wolkolak, to which the inhabitants of Hillhurst are treated as a pet.
  • Ghoul (Little Ghoul) - a ghoul that appeared in the second season and joined the other monsters of Hillhurst.

Allies

  • Nano Williams is Roland's grandmother and the owner of the Zoom Comics comic book store. In his spare time, he practices martial arts and famously rides a motorcycle.
  • Aaron Williams is Roland's father. He worked at Zoom Comics, but was soon forced to leave on business.
  • Abby Williams is Roland's mother. She worked as a real estate agent, but after leaving her husband, she decided to engage in a comic book store.
