Vasilyev, Anatoly Nikolaevich (artist)

Born in the family of a soldier. During World War II, he was first evacuated in the Yaroslavl Region. Then he lived with his family in Poland and Germany; from 1945 to 1954 - in Kaliningrad (formerly Königsberg). There he began to draw and attended a drawing circle. After the family moved to Leningrad, Anatoly was engaged in painting and drawing in the Palace of Pioneers under the guidance of artist MA Kaneyev. After graduating from school, he entered the LVHPU them. VI Mukhina on the faculty of interior decoration of buildings and graduated in 1965 ^[2] .

By 1960, dating Anatoly with the family Lyagachev and M. Shemyakin . According to him, the “house on Borovaya”, where the first exhibitions of non-conformists were organized and V. Petrochenkov, K. Kuzminsky , O. Ohapkin , V. Krivulin read their poems, Val was played . Kravchenko , Val. Rodchenko and other actors, where S. Sigitov was a propagandist of the musical avant-garde, played a large role in shaping his artistic tastes, and the artist and writer O. Lyagachev became his close friend. Together with Lyagachev, he participates in the publication of hand-written almanacs not only as an illustrator, but also as an author - prose writer and playwright. At the same time, he entered the artistic group “ Petersburg ” ^[3] and later co-authored M. Shemyakin in monumental and artistic projects (for example, in 1990 he took part in the architectural design of the Leningrad monuments to Peter the Great in the Peter and Paul Fortress and the Victims of repression on the waterfront Robespierre).

Since 1962, he participated in numerous exhibitions and manifestations of unofficial artists (in Harbor, 1962, at Kustarny, 1971, at Kuzminsky, 1974; in the Nevsky House of Culture, 1975, in the Ordzhonikidze House of Culture, 1976; in TEV exhibitions, TEI, IFA).

During the perestroika period, Vasiliev began to travel abroad: he was in France (1989), in Belgium (1990), in Austria (personal exhibition in Saalbach, 1999), together with M. Shemyakin took part in carnivals in Venice and, since 1991 years, often in the United States .

His first solo exhibition was held in 1994 in the St. Petersburg gallery "Borey" . In the future, personal exhibitions of Vasiliev were held in other galleries of St. Petersburg, in addition, he was often exhibited abroad. The works of A. Vasiliev are represented in St. Petersburg and other museums of Russia, as well as in private collections.
