Anatoly Ilyich Petrov (born February 1956 in Astrakhan) is a Russian pediatrician, statesman and politician. Member of the State Duma of the VII convocation , member of the faction "United Russia" , member of the State Duma Committee on Health [1] .

Biography
In 1973, he graduated from high school, in vocational training, the qualification of a mechanic of the II category was awarded. From 1973 to 1974 he worked at the Astrakhan diesel locomotive repair plant as an electric fitter, after which he entered the medical institute. In 1980, received a higher medical education in the specialty "Pediatrics" at the Astrakhan State Medical Institute. A.V. Lunacharsky at the pediatric faculty. In 2000, he underwent retraining under the program "State and Municipal Administration" at the Volga Academy of Public Administration named after P. A. Stolypin. Since 1980, he worked as an anesthetist-resuscitator in the regional children's hospital in Tambov, in 1982 he was sent to undergo specialization in endoscopy in the city of Gorky. In the same year, after completing specialization, he worked in the children's regional clinic as an endoscopist. Since 1987, he worked in the Tambov Children's Clinic No. 3 as the chief doctor. Since 1991, he worked in the Tambov Regional Children's Clinical Hospital as a chief doctor [2] .
In March 2011, he ran for deputies of the Regional Duma according to the lists of the United Russia party; according to the results of the distribution of mandates, he was a deputy of the Tambov Regional Duma of the fifth convocation [3] . In September 2016, he was nominated to the State Duma on the lists of the United Russia party, and, following the results of elections and the distribution of mandates, he became a deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation [4] .

From 2016 to 2019, during the execution of the powers of a deputy of the State Duma of the VII convocation, he co-authored 137 legislative initiatives and amendments to draft federal laws [5] .
