Obverse
The obverse of the coin depicts the coat of arms of the Zaporizhzhya region , to the left of which is the logo of the Mint of the National Bank of Ukraine, and the small State Emblem of Ukraine is placed at the top, the inscription in a semicircle is “NATIONAL BANK OF UKRAINE”, a decorative ornament with oak leaves, the coin minting year and coin denomination - “2009 ”/“ DVI GRIVNІ ”.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the coin, the following composition is depicted: in the foreground, against the background of the stylized waves of the Dnieper, a stone woman, characteristic of the steppe part of Ukraine, a cannon from the time of the Zaporizhzhya Sich , in the background is the Dnieper Hydroelectric Station , in the upper semicircle there is the inscription “ZAPORIZZKA 1939 REGION”, after which there is a decorative ornament with oak leaves .
