Pupil of the Youth Sports School of Ust-Kamenogorsk . He made his debut in 1980 at the Lokomotiv Ulan-Ude . Later he played for the teams of the Kazakh SSR in the second league of the USSR championship “Vostok” Ust-Kamenogorsk (1981), “Bulat” Temirtau (1982-1984; 1990 - the second minor league ), “Shakhtar” Karaganda (1985-1986, 1987-1990 ) At the end of 1986 he made his debut for “Kairat” Alma-Ata in the Federation Cup. In March - April 1987, he played two games in the Premier League , both substituting in the last 15 minutes both against Shakhtar (0: 1) and Ararat (0: 1). He played the match against Zenit in the Federation Cup and returned to Shakhtar. 1991 he spent in the second minor league, playing for the “Kuban” Baranikovsky .
In the championship of Kazakhstan, he played for Kokshetau Kokchetav (1992) and Shakhtar Karaganda (1992-1993). He ended his career in 1999, having spent three matches for the club of the first league of the Karaganda Republican Autonomous Okrug .
In 2005 - the head coach of Bulat-MSK Temirtau , in 2006 - the head coach of the Shakhtar-Yunost club. In 2007-2009 - coach at the Shakhtar in Karaganda.
He died in November 2018 at the 60th year of his life.
Son Eugene is also a football player and coach.
