The river is 40 km long [3] . It originates on the eastern slopes of the Kurtushibinsky ridge ( Western Sayan ) [4] . In the upper reaches it flows from the ridge to the east, then flows south. In the lower reaches it flows along the Turano-Uyuk basin . It flows into Uyuk on the left bank [5] 38 km from its mouth, 4.5 km west (above) of the village of Uyuk .
In the middle reaches, a pond is formed on the river; the right tributary Blyalik (length 19 km) flows into it.
In the lower reaches on the right bank is the city of Turan , in front of it is the village of Nayyral , just below the river crosses the P257 Yenisei highway. In the pool is also the village of Bielelig (near the pond) [5] .
