Popesti-Leordeni ( rum. Popești-Leordeni ) is a city in Romania as a part of Ilfov County .

History
For a long time it was ordinary countryside. In 1873, the communes of Popesti Conduratu and Leordeni were united in the commune of Popesti Leordeni.
In 1950, these lands became a suburban area of Bucharest . Since 1981, they have been subordinated to the Ilfov Agricultural Sector, which since 1997 became Ilfov’s Husband.
In 2005, the municipality of Popesti Leordeni received city status.
