The Stanley Cup was won by the Toronto Maple Leafs team, beating the Detroit Red Wings in the final with a score of 4-3, and in the series Toronto lost with a score of 0-3, which was the first time in history (since then the Toronto feat was repeated three times - New York Islanders in the 1974-1975 season, Philadelphia Flyers in the 2009-2010 season and the Los Angeles Kings in the 2013-2014 season).
