Biography
The student of several rabbinical teachers, the most important was Elimelech from Lizhensk . During the life of a teacher, he began to collect Hasidim himself and became a teacher of most tzaddiks of the first half of the XIX century from Hungary, Poland and Galicia. He believed that the tzaddik should take care of his community, and his scholarship was less appreciated than a practical approach. At the same time, opponents of Hasidism criticized him. And the argument of Horowitz with an outstanding student of the river. Pshesuhoy led to a feud that continued in the 19th century between the Hasidim of Poland. Napoleon’s campaign against Russia (1812), he considered the beginning of the war of Gog and Magog .
In 1815, died in an accident, falling out of a window during the Simchat Torah festival.
