El Salero ( Spanish: El Salero ) is a village in central Mexico , in the state of Aguascalientes . It is part of the municipality of Kosio .

Geographical position
El Salero is located in the north of the state, approximately 49 kilometers north of the city of Aguascalientes , near the administrative border with the state of Zacatecas . The absolute height is 2035 meters above sea level [1] .
Population
According to data obtained during the official census of 2005, 1,074 people (530 men and 544 women) lived in the village. There were 214 houses. According to the age range, the population was distributed as follows: 45% - residents under the age of 18, 47.6% - between 18 and 59 years old and 7.4% - aged 60 years and older. The literacy rate among residents over 15 years old was 95.8% [2] .
According to the 2010 census, the population of El Salero was 1229 people [3] . The dynamics of the population of the village by years:
