I am truly grateful that a country like Kazakhstan accepted me and gave me the opportunity to become part of its culture. When I signed my agreement on the extension of the contract with Astana at the beginning of this season, I understood that speaking for the national team is part of our agreements and I could not refuse. But my agreement, I repeat, first of all is the consent to become part of the culture of Kazakhstan. I am grateful to God for providing such an opportunity and for the fact that everything went well. I would also like to thank my teammates, the coaching staff, and the entire management for their full support and assistance. Owning a Kazakhstan passport is of great importance for me, as well as for my further progress. It is an honor for me to represent Kazakhstan and of course I will do my best in my power. From now on, I have the citizenship of Kazakhstan and I can fully play for the national team. And I plan to meet all hopes, to play at the highest level and show the basketball that is expected of me. I am well acquainted with each player of the national team and I am confident that my adaptation process will take place without any problems. My goal is to play every match as the last, play with all my heart. I sincerely understand all the responsibility that I will represent Kazakhstan and play for the country, and I would like to say that I am here to bring only benefits. Once again I want to say: many thanks to Kazakhstan for accepting me. I am happy and grateful! ” [9] |
