Biography
Washon was born in 1962 in Manhattan , New York . She is the daughter of Francoise Forestier and photographer John Vashon [1] .
Career
In 1983 she graduated from Brown University, where during her studies she met Todd Haines and Barry Ellsworth. Together, they created Apparatus Productions in 1987, a nonprofit company focused on anti-Hollywood products and overseeing the production of seven films over the next five years.
Kristin Wakon and her fellow producer Pamela Koffler currently work for Killer Films , which they created in 1996. The company celebrated its 10th anniversary in 2005 and was awarded a retrospective at the Museum of Modern Art in New York [3] .
Christine Wacon produced Todd Gaines' debut film, The Poison, which received the Sundance Film Festival jury Grand Prix, as well as his subsequent film Velvet Goldmine about the era of British glam rock, which was broadcast from the hands of the videotape in the late 1990s into the hands of [4] and Carol (2015).
Personal life
Washon and her partner, artist Marlene McCarthy, live in East Village with their daughter Guthrie.
