Biography

Vladislav Grinev was born and lives in Moscow . He has been involved in swimming since he was seven years old and still trains at School No. 77 of Moscomsport. According to Vladislav, at the age of 17 he wanted to finish swimming, the future swimmer was reluctant to train [2] . Later, the athlete switched to another coach (V.V. Nutsubidze) and began to take the matter more seriously [2] . Grinev is a graduate student in the faculty of agronomy and biotechnology of the Timiryazev Academy [3] .

In 2018, Vladislav became a full member of the Russian swimming team, having selected for the European Championship in Glasgow . Moskvich showed himself well in this tournament, becoming the champion of Europe in the 4 × 100 m freestyle relay. At his crown distance (100 m crawl) Grinev stopped a step away from the podium. At the European Championships, a Russian added to his collection of awards “silver” in the combined relay race 4 × 100 m and “bronze” in the mixed relay race [4] .

In December of the same year, Grinev earned the right to represent his country at the World Swimming Championships in 25-meter pools . Grinev helped the team win three silver medals in the relay races (4 × 100 and 4 × 200 m freestyle and in the combined 4 × 100 m), but won personal medals, becoming, like at the European Championships, fourth in the 100-meter rabbit.

In 2019, Vladislav became the leader of the Russian national team in swimming at a distance of 100 m freestyle: at the Russian championship, he broke the country's record (47.43). At the World Championships, the Russian first won the silver medal in the 4 × 100 m crawl relay, and then at his crown distance he won the bronze award, bringing the country the first medal in this kind of program for 16 years after the famous Alexander Popov .
