Biography

Polina Osetinskaya was born in Moscow on December 11, 1975. She started playing the piano at the age of five. At the age of 6 she first performed on stage. In 1982 she entered the Central Music School at the Moscow Conservatoire. P. I. Tchaikovsky . In the winter of 1983, she gave her first solo concert in Moscow. At the age of eight in Vilnius, she performed the Concerto in D minor by JS Bach with the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra conducted by Saulius Sondeckis . In 1987, when Polina was 11 years old, she made her debut in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory . She played Mozart's Concerto No. 23 in Major Major with the Chamber Orchestra conducted by Georgy Vetvitsky.

Polina continued her musical education at the lyceum school in St. Petersburg, where Marina Veniaminovna Wolf was her teacher [1] . In 1998, the Ossetian Externship graduated from the St. Petersburg Conservatory . In 2000 she graduated from the Assistant Internship at the Moscow State Conservatory named after P. Tchaikovsky with Professor Vera Vasilyevna Gornostaeva .

Concert Activity

Gives touring concerts in Russia and abroad. Performs with solo concerts, as well as with leading Russian and foreign orchestras. He likes to play in the ensemble, participates in various musical projects together with other musicians. Presents to the public non-standard programs in which, along with classical works, often includes works by contemporary composers in the post-vanguard direction: Silvestrov , Desyatnikov , Pyart , Martynov , Karmanov , Pelecis and others.

Takes part in many prestigious music festivals: Du Wallonie (Brussels) [2] , Mainly Mozart Festival (San Diego, California), “ December Nights ” (Moscow), “Crescendo” [3] , “Stars on Baikal” (Irkutsk ), Dygilevsky festival (Perm), "Faces of modern pianism" [4] and "Stars of the White Nights" [5] (St. Petersburg).

At the Dygilev Festival and other venues, Ossetia presented several interesting musical projects with different musicians: with violinist Maxim Vengerov , with pianist Alexei Goribol , with composer and pianist Anton Batagov , with theater and film actress Ksenia Rappoport .

Ossetian performed with such conductors as Tugan Sokhiev , Alexander Sladkovsky , Vasily Sinaisky , Theodore Currentzis , Saulius Sondeckis , Thomas Sanderling , Dmitry Sitkovetsky . Records of the pianist are released on many labels - Sony Music, Naxos, Bel Air, Quartz, etc.

Polina Osetinskaya wrote an autobiographical book “Farewell to Sadness”, which became a bestseller. [6] . In the book, the author talks about the unusual circumstances of his childhood, about his difficult development as a musician.

Social activities

She created and led the “Center for the Support of Professional Health of Musicians Polina Ossetian” [7] , which helps musicians and creative people in solving problems related to profession features, such as replayed hands, muscle clamps, fear of going on stage, vegetative stress and many others [8] .

Polina Osetinskaya is engaged in charity activities. He is a trustee of the Oxygen Foundation [9] , which helps patients with cystic fibrosis.
