History
The FAP 1118 truck was developed in 2010 by the FAP Automobile Plant in cooperation with the Belgrade Military Technical Institute and the Technical Testing Center with the aim of replacing obsolete TAM trucks in the armed forces of Serbia [1] . An experimental batch of 5 cars was released, which successfully passed field trials. On March 21, 2011, a zero consignment of 32 trucks was transferred to the army, and 38 more were transferred by the end of the year. The total cost of the first delivery was about 4 million euros [2] .
In 2012, the Serbian army received another 68 vehicles. In the city of Kraljevo, demonstration exercises were conducted to improve the technical characteristics of the FAP 1118 vehicle [3] .
