Career
At the age of fifteen, Antonio became Spain's Vice Karting Champion . In 1982 and 1986, he won the Spanish Formula Fiesta Championship (now Formula Ford) [1] .
In 1989, he finished sixth in the British Formula 3000 Championship . A year later, Antonio won the Formula Renault championship in Spain, as well as the national championship in bodywork. In 1991, Albacete took the place of the pilot in the factory team Fiat and took second place in the championship of Spain. In 1993, he repeated this achievement as a BMW pilot. The next season, Antonio spent in the Opel team, and in 1995 returned to BMW [1] .
In 1996, Albacete took second place in the Citroen Super Bowl, while simultaneously performing in the national championship behind the wheel of an Alfa Romeo . In 1997, the Spanish championship was canceled and Antonio received from CEPSA to pilot a MAN truck at the European Championship. In 2005, 2006 and 2010, he won the championship title [1] .
Albacete combined truck races with participation in the endurance racing championship and classic rally as a Mini Cooper pilot. He also worked as a test pilot for Subaru in Spain [1] .
