Biography
Born on August 5, 1965 in Dnepropetrovsk. He graduated from the Kiev Trade and Economic Institute . After graduation, he worked in the Central Department Store of Kiev as a deputy section, as well as in the Kiev city committee of the Komsomol. He began his banking career at the Ukrainian branch of Inkombank. Later, he continued his career at IKB Inokobank, AB Inko, AB Delovaya Rossiya. He was the head of the currency resources department at JSCB Ukraine, where he worked side-by-side with the future President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko . In December 1992, Yu. I. Lyakh took the post of Chairman of the Board of CJSC Ukrainian Credit Bank.
On December 3, 2004, during the days of the Orange Revolution , he was found dead in his own office at the office of Ukrainian Credit Bank. According to law enforcers, Yu. I. Lyakh committed suicide by cutting an artery around his neck with a paper office knife. He was buried at the Berkovtsy City Cemetery .
