Biography
In 1960, he graduated with honors from the Department of Plant Protection of the Agronomy Faculty of the Kazakh Agricultural Institute [3] . Since 1960, researcher, scientific secretary, head of department of the Kazakh Research Institute of Plant Protection. In 1966 he defended his thesis on "Insect pests of the Tyanshan spruce and measures to combat them" [4] . In 1969-1976 and since 1992 - deputy director of this institute; In 1991-1998 - Professor of the Department of Etymology, Plant Protection of the Kazakh Agrarian University [2] . In 1989, he defended his doctoral dissertation on the topic "Biological justification of a system of measures to protect sugar beets from pests on irrigated lands of Kazakhstan" [5] , becoming the first doctor of sciences - Kazakh entomologist [3] .
Scientific activity
He studied plant pests (pine, spruce, wheat, sugar beets, tobacco, cotton, etc.) and developed a system for protecting crops from pests.
The author of more than 150 scientific papers [6] , including 4 monographs, two reviews, copyright certificates, patents and 16 recommendations. One of the authors of the Handbook of Plant Protection and the Russian-Kazakh Dictionary of Plant Protection. Supervisor of 4 candidates of sciences [3] .
