Joulutortu ( Fin. Joulutorttu ), “Christmas cakes” - traditional Finnish Christmas cookies, usually in the form of a star, a symbol of this holiday. Joulutortu is also prepared for Christmas in Sweden. It is usually made from puff pastry , plum jam or prunes serve as the filling, sprinkled with powdered sugar.
