Biography
Tahir Aminaga oglu Bagirov was born on July 14, 1957 in the city of Krasnovodsk (now Turkmenbashi ) of the Republic of Turkmenistan . Nationality is Azerbaijani . He graduated from the 8th grade in the city of Shirvan in 1974 and gained driving experience in the same year. From May 1977 to September 1979, he served in the former Soviet Army . After the army, he worked in the transport workshop at the Azneft-1 TPP. [one]
Battle
Tahir Bagirov joined the ranks of the National Army when she began to organize. On March 1, 1992, by order of the commander of the military unit No. 843, Tahir was appointed deputy commander of the training, and then he was appointed the onboard gunner of the MI-24 helicopter of the Air Force of the Republic of Azerbaijan. He took part in military operations against the expeditionary force of Armenia. [2]
In the battles of October 11, 1992, Sergeant T. Bagirov died heroically.
Family
He was married, had two children.
National Hero
Tahir Aminaga oglu Bagirov was named the National Hero of Azerbaijan by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on February 9, 1993.
He was buried on the Alley of Martyrs in Baku.
Secondary school number 11 and number 59 and the street where he lived in Shirvan were named after him.
