Kuzembayuly Amanzhol

Amanzhol Kuzembayuly is a famous scientist, one of the leading experts in the pre-revolutionary history of Kazakhstan, the author of more than 400 scientific works, including about 52 books, textbooks and monographs. Amanzhol Kuzembayuly was born on March 24, 1945 in the village of Uzynagash of the Mendygara district of Kostanay region [1]. After graduating from a seven-year school in his native village, in 1960 he entered boarding school No. 1 named after Ibrai Altynsarin of the city of Kostanay. In 1965, he became a student in the history department of the Kazakh University. After graduating from the university, he worked at the Karaganda State University named after E. Buketova as a teacher, associate professor, professor, head of the department. The initiator of the introduction of the history of Kazakhstan as an academic discipline in the curriculum of secondary schools and universities. In 1989-1990 he wrote the first program on the history of Kazakhstan for secondary schools and universities, in 1990-1991 he drew up a curriculum for the integrated course "My Republic" for vocational schools. During these years, he held cluster workshops with historians in Almaty, Kostanay and Taraz. It was during these years that he, together with the institutes for the improvement of teachers of the Karaganda, Dzhezkazgan, Torgai and Kostanai regions, took part in the training and retraining of teachers in the discipline "History of Kazakhstan", issued reference notes for them. In 1993, A. Kuzembayuly was invited to the post of head of the newly created Department of History of Kazakhstan, Kostanay Agricultural Institute. In August 1998, he was appointed director of the North Kazakhstan branch of the Kazakh State Humanitarian Law University, the first vice-rector of the North Kazakhstan Law Academy. In February 2004, he established a non-governmental regional institute of historical research, thanks to which he continues to work actively on studying urgent problems in the history of Kazakhstan.

In 1972, A. Kuzembayuly defended his thesis, and in 1993 - his doctoral dissertation. [3] His textbook on the history of Kazakhstan enjoys well-deserved popularity among students and teachers, has been reprinted 7 times and received high reviews from specialists. The idea of ​​the continuous struggle of the Kazakh people for their freedom and independence is a red thread in all his works.

A. Kuzembayuly has his clear and firm civic position, which was clearly manifested in the late 80s - early 90s. He was an active participant in the political events of those years. He was one of the leaders of the Azat movement and one of the founders of the Republican Azat party. A. Kuzembayuly has his own scientific school - he prepared 12 candidates, 2 doctors of sciences.

Since September 2004, Professor Amanzhol Kuzembayuly has been working at the Kostanai State Pedagogical University named after U. Sultangazin as the head of the Department of History of Kazakhstan, Dean of the History Department, Advisor to the Rector, Director of the Center for Regional Historical Research. He is currently a professor at the Department of History of Kazakhstan. He reads the author's course "Theory and Methodology of History" in Russian and Kazakh.
