Geography
The village of Alekseyevka is located on the left bank of the Koreny River, 8.5 km south-west of the district center, the city of Korocha , 30 km in a straight line north-east of the north-eastern outskirts of the city of Belgorod .
History
The documentary source of the 1800s reports: "Sloboda Alekseyevka is located along the hem, where the streamlet Korenek (Alekseyevts was formerly called the Korenko people) begins."
According to the census of 1885: Korochansky district Novo-Sloboda volost Sloboda Alekseyevka (Korenek identity) - 473 yards, 10 yards without a plot of land, the Slobozhans - 780 working horses and 150 foals, 733 cows with 484 calves, 586 sheep and 403 pigs. In the settlement, 5 shops and 2 taverns were trading.
From 1847, an elementary school appeared in Alekseyevka, in 1885, 28 boys and 9 girls were enrolled in it, 35 students were from Alekseyevka and only two went to school from a neighboring village. All in all, by that time in Alekseyevka there were 384 literate men and 27 literate peasant women. Primary school was considered “the preparatory class of the model school existing in the settlement of Alekseyevka”. And in the Slobodsky "general education (exemplary) school" there was a special "manual labor class", where joiners, turners, and craftsmen were trained. In particular, in Alekseyevka were engaged in the manufacture of wooden carriages.
In 1857 in the village was built a brick church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary, now a monument of architecture [2] .
In the early 1930s, the settlement of Alekseyevka was the center of the village council (Alekseyevka, the village of Sorokovka and two farms) in the Korochansky district. By the harvesting campaign of 1935, the second Alekseevskaya, a machine-tractor station (the first MTS was in Koroche), was organized in the region, its 30 tractors and 4 trucks "served 65 collective farms with a crop area of 37.2 thousand hectares." In Apekseevka in those years there were two largest industrial cooperatives in the region: a fur coat gang (85 workers, annual output at 435 thousand rubles) and a woodworking cooperative (48 workers, annual output at 85,125 rubles).
In 1959, the Alekseevsky Village Council of the Korochansky District consisted of two villages (Alekseyevka and Mazikino), two villages (Zamost and Safonovka) and four farms (Koshmanovka, Podsumki, Reznikovo, Safonovka and Sorokovka).
On January 1, 1994, Alekseyevka was the center of the Alekseevsky Village Council: the villages of Zamost, Zayachye, Mazikino, Reznikovo, Safonovka and the Settlement, the Koshmanovka hamlet and Sorokovka.
On January 1, 1999, in the Alekseevsky rural district of the Korochansky district, the villages of Alekseevka, Zamoеć, Mazikino, Reznikovo, Safonovka and Gorodishche, the Koshmanovka hamlet and Sorokovka village are located.
In 2009, the village of Alekseyevka was the center of the Alekseevsky rural settlement in the Korochansky district, which also includes the villages of Zamost, Mazikino and Safonovka, the Koshmanovka and Sorokovka farms [3] .
Population
The X revision (census of the tax-paying population in Russia in 1857-1859) counted in Alekseyevka “1,190 male souls”. According to the census of 1885, there were 1,698 male peasants and 1,583 female peasants in the settlement. In 1932 in Alekseyevka - 4005 inhabitants.
On January 17, 1979, 1791 people lived in Alekseyevka, on January 12, 1989 - 2231.
On January 1, 1994 in Alekseyevka there are 838 households, 2378 inhabitants; on January 1, 1999 - 2441 residents; in 2001, 2454 inhabitants [3] .

Interesting Facts
- In the XIX century, many Alekseevts were engaged in "local crafts". “Most of them are engaged in furrier business - they process each of their own skins, leather, and raw materials of dead animals. And then they sew shoes and winter clothes from this - fur coats, sheepskin coats. Stronger and better-off produce fur coats in whole batches and sell them on the side ” [3] .
