Aguillas Negras [2] ( port. Agulhas Negras ) or Itatiaia [3] ( port. Itatiaia ) is a mountain peak in Brazil . The highest point of the Serra da Mantiqueira ridge and the second highest in the country (2791.55 m).

The summit is located in the southeast of Brazil, 150 km northwest of the city of Rio de Janeiro , in the territory of the Itatiaia National Park .
It is composed of granites and syenites .
