Biography
In 1960 he graduated from the Smolensk State Institute of Physical Culture . He worked at the institute in the department of sports games, was an assistant professor of the department.
He participated in the Games of the peoples of the USSR and the All-Union Youth Games.
In the years 1971-1986. was a coach of the female and youth national teams of the RSFSR basketball. From 1969 to 1995 - vice-president of the Basketball Federation of the RSFSR, then - Russia, since 1996 - member of the executive committee of the Russian Basketball Federation.
In the early 2000s. He returned to teaching at the department of theory and methodology of sports games, had the academic title of professor.
From 2003 to 2008, he was vice-rector for sports at the Smolensk State Academy of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism. The author of 35 scientific and methodological works.
Honored Trainer of the RSFSR (1975). Referee of the All-Union Basketball Category.
He was buried at the Odintsovo cemetery in Smolensk.
