Hellinsia shishkini (lat.) Is a species of butterfly- winged Hellinsia genus from the subfamily Pterophorinae. The name is given in honor of the famous Russian artist Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin (1832-1898) [1] .

Description
Small mole-shaped butterflies with fringed wings split into blades. The span of the front wings is from 17 to 18 mm. Head and chest with pale yellow scales. Fore and hind wings are silver-white, antennae and legs are yellowish [1] . A forehead without a cone-shaped bundle of hairs, a head with thin labial palps, the length of which is approximately equal to the diameter of the eyes. The anterior fringed wings are split into one third into two parts, and the hind wings are split into three parts (second lobe with 2 veins). The vein branches R 3 and R 4 are brought together at the base, and the veins M 3 and Cu 1 are located on a common stem [1] [2] . The species was first described in 2018 by Russian lepidopterologists V.N. Kovtunovich ( Moscow , MOIP ) and P. Ya. Ustyuzhanin ( Barnaul , Altai University ) with colleagues from Honduras along with species H. repini , H. kuinji , H. levitani , H. polenovi , H. savrasovi, and H. vasnetsovi [1] .
