Geography
It is located in the southeastern part of the Belgorod region, in the upper reaches of a small river called Golofeyevsky Sazan (left tributary of the Oskol , Seversky Donets basin), 9 km in a straight line to the southeast from the regional center of Volokonovka . The nearest settlements: Golofeevka in the southwest (lower along the channel of Golofeevsky Sazan), Khmelevets in the southeast, Foshchevatovo in the east, Krasnaya Niva in the north.
In the Volokonovsky district there are two more settlements with overlapping names (both on the Volchya River): Novoaleksandrovka - 27.5 km in a straight line to the north-west; Wolf Aleksandrovka - 28 km in a straight line to the west-north-west. The closest located homonym of the same name in the Belgorod region is in the neighboring Shebekinsky district (33 km in the same north-west direction).
History
In 1900, in the Khmelevsky volost of the Valuysky district , "at the Soroka River", at the Kharkov-Balashov Southeastern Railway, there was a settlement Aleksandrovka, where there was a church, a public building, a wine shop.
Since July 1928, the settlement of Aleksandrovka in the Golofeevsky village council of the Volokonovsky district.
In the 1950s, the settlement of Aleksandrov in the Pogromsky village council of the Volokonovsky district.
In 1997, the village of Alexandrovka as part of the Golofeevsky rural district of the Volokonovsky district [2] .
Population
In 1900, in the Aleksandrovka settlement there were 106 yards, 746 inhabitants (375 males and 371 females); in 1931 there were 882 inhabitants in it.
In January 1979, in the village of Aleksandrovka, the Golofeevsky village council of the Volokonovsky district, there were 502 residents, in January 1989, 366 (155 men and 211 women).
In 1997, in the village of Aleksandrovka - 76 households, 186 residents [2] .
