History
In the 1871 List of Populated Places of the Russian Empire (according to 1868-1869), the settlement is mentioned as the treasury village of Pogorelskaya in the Ishim district of the Tobolsk province , at the Yauzyak river, located 109 miles from the district center of the city of Ishim . There were 35 yards in the village and 147 people lived (77 men and 70 women) [2] .
In 1926, there were 122 households in the village and 585 people lived (269 men and 316 women). Administratively, it was the center of the Pogorelsky village council of the Abat district of Ishim district of the Ural region . The first-level school functioned [3] .
Geography
The village is located in the southeastern part of the Tyumen region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the Ishim Plain , on the left bank of the Yauzyak River, at a distance of about 27 kilometers (in a straight line) northeast of the village of Abatskoye , the administrative center of the region. The absolute height is 71 meters above sea level [4] .
