After a successful season in the central zone of the North-Eastern Oberliga, for the Hertha Zehlendorf team in 1992, he was invited to the Bundesliga team Hamburg . He made his debut in the top German division on September 26, 1992 in a guest match against Wattenscheid , scored the first goal on October 23, 1992 in a home match against Schalke (1: 2). In the 1992/93 season, he became the top scorer of his new team with 8 goals. The next season he scored 13 goals. However, injuries prevented further progress (he completely missed two seasons - 1997/98 and 1998/99, suffered 8 knee operations), because of which he was forced to end his football career early.

In total, in the Bundesliga he scored 39 goals. In the German Cup draws , he scored 5 goals in 8 matches. In 1992-1996 he played for the youth national team of the country (16 matches, 3 goals). In 1996, the club, following the results of the championship , in which it took 5th place, received the right to speak in the UEFA Cup 1996/97 , where Celtic (2: 0, 2: 0) and Spartak (3: 0, 2: 2), losing to Monaco (0: 3, 0: 2) - Beron scored 3 goals in five matches (two to Celtic and one to Spartak [2] ). Intertoto scored 1 goal in two matches.

The leadership of Bavaria, represented by Uli Höness, was invited to Bavaria , but Hamburg was able to offer acceptable conditions, and the transition did not take place. The highest achievement of “Hamburg” during the performance of Beron in it was the qualification (and then in the main tournament) of the Champions League following the results of the German season 1999/2000, in which “Hamburg” took third place in the championship .

At the end of his playing career, he coached the Hamburg team that participated in the regional league and the club’s second team, Hamburg II .
