Content
Geography
The village is located on the P126 highway 10 km south of Ryazhsk.
There are 4 streets in the village: Gagarina, Zheleznodorozhnaya, Novaya, Sadovaya. Also the remains of the estate Kikin-Yermolov. The Church of the Intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary, built in 1805-1806, operates. Princess E. A. Kropotkina.
History
Dobrolyubov in the book “Historical and Statistical Description of Churches and Monasteries of the Ryazan Diocese” indicated that the village of Alyoshnia according to the scribes of 7193 (1685) was listed in the Pekhletsky camp in the patrimony “for Prince Nikita Petrov, son of Dulov, and for Lavrenty Denisov.” The church was then called Nikolskaya, and it was built and consecrated on January 5, 1674.
In 1781, the estate was acquired by Princess Ekaterina Alekseevna Kropotkina. Since 1825, E.V. Torsukova became its owner.
In 1826, her only daughter, Maria Ardalionovna Kikina , settled here with her husband Pyotr Andreyevich Kikin , who retired and was actively engaged in agriculture. After the death of P. A. Kikin in 1854, his daughter Maria Petrovna Volkonskaya , who was married to Prince Dmitry Petrovich Volkonsky , inherited the village. In 1848, M.P. Volkonskaya established a hospital for 36 beds in the village of Stranopriyomnaya (burned down in 1855) [2] .
Subsequently, the estate Aleshnya was inherited by their daughter Catherine, the wife of Ivan Alexandrovich Vsevolozhsky , who sold the estate to a widow.
The last owner of the village was Alexei Sergeevich Ermolov .
Population
In 1860, there was 71 yards in the village; there were 372 peasants and 25 yards in the village behind Prince D. P. Volkonsky. [3]
