In the southern zone of East Galstat culture, traits of the indigenous population of these lands are traced: special female jewelry, original ceramics, the rite of inhumation in the mounds. Nevertheless, the arrival of culture carriers of the fields of burial urns did not pass without a trace and caused cultural transformations among the natives. Researchers identify representatives of this culture with Illyrians , and more precisely, with native speakers of the Dalmatian dialect of their language . Represented by the following groups:

Its carriers are descendants of tribes of the Middle Danube culture of the fields of funeral urns . Some scholars associate them, as well as speakers of Bosnian Hallstatt, with Illyrians who spoke the Pannonian dialect of their language , while others identify them with the Pannon .
