Early years
Giuseppe Sakripante was born on March 19, 1642 or 1643, in Narni . The eldest of four children Jacinto Sacripante and Vittoria de Basilis. His surname is also listed as Sakripanti. His nephew was Cardinal Carlo Maria Sacripante .
He studied literature first, then law in Rome.
He worked with Giacomo Prioli, auditor of the Sacred Roman Company Tribunal , which he inherited when the auditor became seriously ill. Consistorial lawyer since 1684.
