Stephen was born on July 18, 1963 in Lincoln , England [2] .

Stephen Bond graduated from King's College (Cambridge) with a bachelor's degree ( BA ) in economics in 1984. He then received a master's degree ( M.Phil. ) in economics at Nuffield College at Oxford University in 1986. And in 1990 he was awarded a doctoral degree ( D.Phil. ) in economics at Wadham College at Oxford University after defending a thesis on the topic “The Behavioral Factor of Demand of Firms” under the supervision of Professor Steven Nickell [3] .

He began his teaching career as a research fellow in 1986–1993, director of the corporate sector in 1993–2000 at the Institute of Financial Studies . He was also a junior researcher in 1988–1990 at Wadham College, Oxford University, a research associate at the Institute of Economics and Statistics at Oxford University in 1990–1993, and a research associate at Nuffield College at Oxford University in 1990–1993 [ 3] .

He is the Deputy Director of the Center for Public Policy (ESRC) of the Institute for Financial Studies since 2000, an employee of the state economy at Nuffield College at Oxford University since 1993, and a visiting professor of economics at Oxford University since 2004 [3] .
