Born October 30, 1925 in Moscow in the family of Andrei Vasilyevich Tutunov (of Armenian origin) [1] and his wife Elizabeth Nikolaevna Tutunova (nee Sakharova). [2]
At the end of the 1930s, he entered with his brother Andrei at the Moscow Secondary Art School (Moscow Art School, now the Moscow Academic Art Lyceum ), where he studied first at the sculpture department, and then at the painting department. During the Great Patriotic War he continued to study in evacuation in Bashkiria, in 1943 the school returned to Moscow. In 1945, Tutunov entered the Surikov Institute , which he graduated in 1951.
In 1953 he became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR . He participated in many exhibitions. In 1988, his personal exhibition was held in Moscow.
He died on October 12, 1998 in Moscow, was buried at the Vagankovsky cemetery .
The paintings of Sergey Andreevich Tutunov are in the State Tretyakov Gallery , in the Russian Museum of Kiev , in other museums in Russia and neighboring countries, as well as in private collections in Germany, Japan, the USA, and France. [2]
