Project 360

The 360 ​​project is a direct continuation of the 360 ​​Minutes for Baikal All-Russian Ecological Marathon, launched in 2011. Then, for the first time, 100 corporate volunteers of Irkutskenergo collected about 500 bags of garbage on the Baikal Cape Ulirba, which were taken to the landfill in Yelantsy ^[8] .

Already in 2012 ^{[9], the} action became larger - thanks to an increase in the number of participants and expansion of geography: in particular, members of the ecological organizations Big Baikal Trail and Let's Defend Baikal Together, students, residents of different regions of Russia joined it. Thanks to the participation of the population of the coastal territories of Lake Baikal, garbage during the campaigns began to be removed along the entire coast of the lake, including its northern part and the territory of Buryatia ^[10] .

In 2017, declared the Year of Ecology and the 100th Anniversary of the Preservation System of Russia, the 360 ​​Minutes campaign was included in the official events of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Ecology of the Russian Federation ^[11] . By that time, the project launched in Siberia was transformed into the 360-minute All-Russian Ecological Marathon. In 2017, it was held in 24 regions of the country - from the Caucasus to the Far East , as well as in the state of Hawaii ( USA ). Then 100,000 people took part in the events of the eco-marathon ^[12] . Harvesting took place at 186 points only on Lake Baikal ^[13] .

In 2018, the participants of the 360 ​​project focused on cleaning the Baikal coast from the village. Tankhoy (Republic of Buryatia) to the village Murino ( Irkutsk region ) ^[14] . About 16,500 volunteers took part in the campaign to clean the litter left by tourists ^[15] . Participants in the environmental action removed more than 16,000 bags of garbage (404 tons or about 70 KamAZ trucks ) from the shores of Lake Baikal ^[16] . The number of cleaning points has grown - 328 points along the entire coast of Lake Baikal, as well as in the municipalities of the Irkutsk Region and the Republic of Buryatia.

Traditionally, the main partners of the 360 ​​project are the Baikal State Natural Biosphere Reserve ^[17] , the association of supporters of the development of eco-education, leadership and tropostroeniya “The Big Baikal Trail” ^[18] and the association “Let's Defend Baikal Together” ^[19] .

The longest cooperation with 360 is formed with the FSBI Baikal State Natural Biosphere Reserve ^[23] , on the territory of which the key September actions of the project are held. In 2016, the partners included three more reserves: FSBI “ State Nature Reserve Khakassky” ^[24] , FSBI “State Reserve“ Pillars ” ^[25] , FSBI “ Sikhote-Alin State Reserve ” ^[26] .

In 2017, when the 360 ​​project was implemented in the format of a year-round eco-marathon (360 minutes), 14 protected areas throughout the country became its project partners ^[27] :

The format of the eco-marathon in 2017 allowed the 360 ​​project to expand its geography to 24 subjects of the Russian Federation - from the Caucasus to the Far East. Residents of the following regions were able to participate in the actions ^[28] :

• Ulyanovsk Region The campaign within the framework of the 360 ​​project in September 2018 brought together 328 cleaning points on the coast of Lake Baikal, in the Irkutsk region (22 municipalities) and in the Republic of Buryatia (7 municipalities) ^[3] . Among the participating municipalities are Irkutsk, Bratsk , Shelekhov , Angarsk , Ust-Ilimsk , Ust-Kut , Nizhneudinsk , Tulun , Kachug , Svirsk , Cheremkhovo , Shirokovo , Balagansk , Novonukutsky , Ust-Ordynsky , Bohan , Belorechensky , Bayan , Baikalsk , Pankovka , Murino, Tankhoy, Kyakhta , Kabansk , Barguzin , Turuntai , Ivolginsk , Tarbagatai and Nizhneangarsk .

The main harvesting points of recent years are located on southern Baikal - territories near the settlements of Murino, Pankovka and Tankhoy.

1. Checking the "ecological" vision in 11 cities of Russia. This event launched the eco-marathon in 2017. In total, in an ecology year, “ecological” vision was tested by 2700 people ^[29] .
2. Cleaning by divers the bottom of Lake Baikal in the area of Listvyanka village, Irkutsk region ^[30] .
3. Unusual eco-friendly formats. For example, the Astronomical Subbotnik in July, which raised issues of environmental and light pollution ^[31] , cleaning the Arzhan-Uru mineral spring in the Sayano-Shushensky Nature Reserve at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level. To deliver the equipment to the place of work, a helicopter had to be used, and garbage bags were lowered on horses ^[32] .
4. The hostess of 2017 was attended by TV presenter Elena Letuchaya , as well as artists of the theater ensemble “Julyansemble” (graduates of the Moscow Art Theater School ) ^[33] .
5. Winter actions within the framework of “360 minutes”: garbage collection on Belukha using a helicopter ^[34] , landscaping of the Baikal Reserve and cleaning the bottom of the lake by divers ^[35] .
6. In 2016 and 2017, six campaigns took place within the 360-minute ecological marathon on the territory of the Sikhote-Alin Zapovednik, which eliminated the consequences of the typhoon Lionrok : more than two hundred bags of household waste thrown out by the storms of the Sea of ​​Japan were collected, and ecological trails, cleared more than 14 kilometers of the trail from fallen trees ^[36] .
7. "Artek" took part in the All-Russian eco-marathon "360 minutes". The start of the action was given by the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Russian Federation Sergey Donskoy , who specially visited Artek to meet with the volunteers ^[37] .
8. As part of the eco-marathon, joint actions were held with the federal target program “Water of Russia” ^[38] .

• About 8,500 tons of garbage collected in the framework of the 360 ​​project in 8 years .
• The total number of participants in the activities of the project "360" since 2011 (2018 inclusive) amounted to 144,000 people .
• Over the 8 years of the project, 1,400 trees were planted, 160 square meters of rock inscriptions removed, 2 kilometers of fishing nets abandoned by poachers were recovered from Baikal .
• During this time, 20 environmental movements joined the project.
• 360 minutes, or six hours, is the time that people spend on weekends relaxing and entertaining, and which can be used differently - on a useful, good deed, for example, garbage collection.
