Biography

Born on November 8, 1966 in Slatino, in the Zolochevsky district of the Kharkov region in a family of middle-level party leaders [2] . The mother died when the boy was a year and four months old, and therefore the first years he was brought up in a family of relatives by his mother.

In 1983 he graduated from high school in the city of Suja , in the Kursk region. From 1983 to 1984 he studied at the Kharkov Technical School with a degree in radio equipment installer.

From 1984 to 1991 he studied at the Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute with a degree in mechanical engineering (from 1984 to 1986 he served in the Soviet Army ). He came to a conscious faith, visiting the Intercession Monastery in Kharkov. At the same time he entered the seminary.

On May 27, 1991, in the Holy Trinity Church in the village of Trokovichi, Archbishop Job and Ovruchsky Job (Tyvonyuk) was ordained a deacon , and on May 29, 1991, he was ordained a presbyter and was appointed rector of the Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary in the village of Skurata, Zhytomyr Region.

April 22, 1992 was awarded a plait .

In August 1992, he was appointed rector of the church of the Holy Great Martyr Demetrius in the city of Malin and dean of the Milan district of the Zhytomyr diocese .

On April 1, 1993, he was awarded a kamilavka and a pectoral cross .

On January 10, 1994 he was appointed a member of the Diocesan Council at the Department of the Governor of the Ovruch-Korosten Diocese .

In March 1994 he moved to Crimea and was appointed archbishop of Simferopol and Crimean Lazar (Shvets) as the keyman of the Trinity Cathedral in Simferopol.

In 1995, thanks to the activities of the All-Ukrainian society "Enlightenment" , it passed into the jurisdiction of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate and on March 24, 1995 was appointed rector of the parish of the Holy Equal-to-the-Apostles Prince Vladimir and Olga in Simferopol .

On July 18, 1996, he was tonsured a monk with the name Anthony.

Episcopal Ministry

July 21, 1996 was ordained bishop of Simferopol and Crimean (UOC-KP).

October 29, 1997 appointed bishop of Khmelnitsky and Kamenetz-Podolsky, governor of the Khmelnitsky diocese .

On January 23, 2004, he was elevated to the rank of archbishop , and on January 23, 2012, by decree of Patriarch Filaret (Denisenko), he was elevated to the rank of Metropolitan.

On December 15, 2018, at the Unification Council , it entered the jurisdiction of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and on December 21 turned to the episcopate, flock and clergy of the three dioceses of the UOC MP in Khmelnitsky with an appeal for reunification in the bosom of the newly formed church structure [3] [4] .
