Nakia Sherom Sanford ( born Nakia Sherome Sanford ; born May 10, 1976 in Lithonia , Georgia ) is an American professional basketball player who played in the women's national basketball association . In the 1999 draft VNBA, none of the clubs was selected, but four years later, before the start of the 2003 season , she signed an agreement with the Washington Mystics team. She played in the position of center and heavy striker .
