Trachiscorpies [1] ( lat. Trachyscorpia ) is a genus of marine ray- fin fish from the subfamily Sebastinae of the scorpion family. Representatives of the genus are common in the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. Body length is from 14.7 to 50 cm [2] . These are bottom predatory fish waiting for prey in ambush.
