The city assembly of the city of Zagreb ( Croatian Gradska skupština Grada Zagreba ) is the legislative body of the Croatian capital Zagreb , an analogue of the city council.

It includes 51 deputies elected for a four-year term by secret ballot on the basis of universal suffrage and in accordance with the principle of proportional representation (the current composition was elected in the 2017 elections).
The assembly sits in the Old Town Hall building, not far from St. Mark's Square .
This is a representative body engaged in law-making within the framework of the self-government of the city of Zagreb and performs other duties in accordance with the laws of the state and its own charter. The city council is a kind of counterweight to the mayor in the managerial model of checks and balances. It has 24 permanent and temporary working bodies with the right to oversee the various functions of the city government.
The chairman of the urban assembly is Andria Mikulich.
