“Servant of the People” ( Ukrainian Servant of the People ; in 2016–2017 [4] - “ The Party of Decisive Changes ”) is a Ukrainian political party founded by Vladimir Zelensky and Yevgeny Yurdyga . Official registration took place on April 13, 2016 , and renaming on December 2, 2017 [5] . The organization is named in the same name as the TV series 2015-2019 and the 2016 film Servant of the People .

Content
History
The Party of the Servant of the People was registered on April 13, 2016 under the name of the Party of Decisive Change. Then its head was Eugene Yurdyga [5] .
At the time of renaming the party in 2017, it was headed by Ivan Bakanov , who since 2013 has been the head and lawyer of Quarter 95 LLC [6] , the founder and leader of which was Vladimir Zelensky .
According to the party’s report for the second quarter of 2018, it uses for free a 4 m² office in Kiev, which is provided by the sponsor, does not have any funds and does not make any payments [7] .
In December 2017, in a survey of the Razumkov Center, the party gained 4% [8] . In a poll of the sociological group “Rating”, conducted in April 2018, at the parliamentary elections in Ukraine in 2019, 9% of respondents said they would vote for the party [9] . In June 2018, in a rating poll, 10.5% of voters were ready to vote for the party [10] . In early February 2019, the rating of the “Servant of the People” party in the survey of the Kiev International Institute of Sociology rose to 24.6% and it was ahead of all the other parties for the first time [11] , reaching and, according to some surveys, exceeding the 50% threshold in July 2019 votes [12] [13] [14] . According to opinion polls, on May 17, 2019, the Party of the Servant of the People party gained 39.9%, while the Opposition Platform - For Life gained 10.9%, European Solidarity - 10.6%, and Fatherland - 9.1% [15] .
After the inauguration on May 20, 2019, Vladimir Zelensky announced the dissolution of the Verkhovna Rada and the holding of early parliamentary elections, in which the party "Servant of the People" will take part.
On May 27, 2019, the party gave a press conference at which it was announced that Dmitry Razumkov [16] became the head of the party "Servant of the People". At the party’s congress on June 9, the first 20 of the “Servant of the People” party were announced in parliamentary elections [17] :

- Alexander Tkachenko is the CEO and producer of the 1 + 1 TV channel.
- Jean Beleniuk is a Ukrainian Greco-Roman style wrestler.
- Sergey Babak is the director of educational programs at the Ukrainian Institute of the Future.
- Vladislav Krikliy is an economist.
- Elena Shulyak is an expert in the field of development and construction.
- Dmitry Natalukha is a public figure, human rights activist.
- Elizaveta Yasko is a film producer.
- Alexey Orzhel is an expert in the field of fuel and energy complex.
- Andriy Gerus is the representative of the President in the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
- Mikhail Radutsky is an expert in medicine, a doctor.
- Denis Monastyrsky is an expert on law enforcement issues.
- Daniil Getmantsev is an expert on taxation and banking law.
Candidates from the party sign a memorandum, which provides, in particular, the obligation of personal voting and voluntary resignation [18] .
On August 3, a candidate for deputy of Ukraine from the party “Servant of the People” Vasyl Mokan said that David Arahamia will head the faction “Servant of the People” in the parliament, as the party will nominate Dmitry Razumkov to the post of head of the Verkhovna Rada, and Ruslan Stefanchuk to the post of first vice speaker .
Presidential Election 2019
On January 21, 2019, the Party of the Servant of the People nominated Vladimir Zelensky as a presidential candidate [19] .
On March 31, 2019, the first round of presidential elections in Ukraine was held, as a result of which Vladimir Zelensky (30.24%) and Petro Poroshenko (15.95%) entered the second round. In the second round of elections on April 21, 2019, Vladimir Zelensky won (73.22%).
Legislative Election 2019
On July 21, 2019, Ukraine held elections to the Verkhovna Rada by a mixed electoral system with majority (single-member) constituencies and party lists. A pass-through barrier was set for parties - 5% of the vote.
After summing up the voting results, the Party of the Servant of the People party received 43% of the vote (124 seats) and another 130 seats in single-member constituencies, 254 seats out of 450 seats in the Verkhovna Rada [20] .
Criticism
On June 28, 2019, it was announced that Ivan Yunakov (No. 63 of the party list of the Servant of the People ) [21] , head of the architectural bureau 33BY [22] [23] will be engaged in the reconstruction of the Ukrainian House under the new Presidential Office without a competition.
