Bridget Pettis ( born Bridget Pettis ; born January 1, 1971 in East Chicago , Indiana , USA ) is an American professional basketball player who played for the Women's National Basketball Association . She was selected in the 1997 VNBA draft at the first stage of the elite round under the common seventh number by the Houston Comets club. Played as an attacking defender . While still an active player, the ZhNBA entered the coaching staff of the native Phoenix Mercury team, in which she won two league titles ( 2007 , 2009 ). Recently, she worked as an assistant to Fred Williams on the Dallas Wings team.
