The Pacific Daily News , formerly known as Guam Daily News, is Guam’s daily periodical published in Hagatna , the capital of the Territory . The publication belongs to the corporation Gannett Company . The newspaper was founded in 1951 by Joseph Flores , later elected as Governor of Guam [1] .

Each issue of the publication contains local news and articles about Guam , Micronesia and the Pacific region as a whole, as well as the latest news from the US and the world. Most of the material published by the newspaper is usually related to political issues and issues that directly affect the residents of Guam . In addition, the publication contains a weekly entertainment column, published every Friday under the name “GuamPika” and aimed at visitors to the island.
Remaining the only daily periodical in Micronesia , Pacific Daily News is delivered by air to all the major islands in the region .
