Geography

It is located in the north-west of the Moscow region, in the southeastern part of the Istra district, 30 km from the Moscow ring road , at the 45th km of the Volokolamsk highway , 3 km from the Snegiri village and the Snegiri station of the Riga direction of the Moscow railway , on the river bank Istra .

History

In 2002, the village of Rozhdestveno included the village of the Snegiri Scientific Experimental Farm and the village of the Snegiri Recreation Center ^[comm. ^1] .
In 2008, in a village on a former collective farm field adjacent to the cowsheds on an area of 40 hectares, construction of a residential complex began, where townhouses and multi-storey residential buildings up to 12 floors high are being built. The total number of apartments in the new quarter of complex development is 3850.
As of the spring of 2016, the 1st and 2nd phases of construction were commissioned ^[6] ^[7] .

Famous residents

Gennady Zyuganov , leader of the Communist Party . According to the Moskovsky Komsomolets newspaper for 2007, has been living since 1994 on the territory of Snegiri Recreation Center in cottage No. 29, a small pink house with two pipes ^[8] .
