Balta crassivenosa (lat.) - a species of cockroaches from the family Ectobiidae , endemic to the small island of Silhouette in the Seychelles archipelago . Perhaps the species has already died out [1] . IUCN assigned him the status of CR , as the main threat to the population is the import of invasive species and diseases onto the island. It was originally known as Margattea crassivenosa (Bolívar, 1924).

The body length of the female is 11.5 mm. On a crown there is a wide dark brown stripe. Between the antennae there is a large brown spot. Pronot with brown pattern. Elytra and wings fully developed. Anterior margin and elytra angles pale, inner veins dark brown. The wings are darkened. The top of the abdomen is yellowish brown, darkened along the edge. The underside of the abdomen is grayish. The churches are black. Males are not known [2] .
