Geography
Sazonovo is located in the central part of the district, 13 kilometers from the city of Atkarsk and 79 kilometers from the regional center of the city of Saratov. An asphalt road and bus connection connected the village with the district center. The nearest railway station is Chemizovka. In the west and north is the picturesque floodplain of the Bear with forests, elders and wild beaches.
Near the village is the Lisichkinskiy manor park. In the vicinity of the village there are lakes Sazanje, Tankino, Mochalino, Krugloye.
History
The founding years of Sazonovo are considered to be the turn of the 1920s and 1930s. The village appeared on the basis of the department of the vegetable and dairy farm “Red Star”, and in 1933 an independent state farm “Krasnoarmeets” was formed [2] .
In 1984, by the Decree of the Presidium of the Armed Forces of the RSFSR, the village of the Krasnoarmeets subsidiary farm was renamed Sazonovo [3] .

According to the 2010 census, 435 people lived in the village, including 193 men and 242 women.

Infrastructure
In the village there is a comprehensive school, post office, shop. The House of Culture has been inactive for several years.
The bust of V.I. Lenin, which is installed in the central part of the village, next to the village club, as well as a monument to 36 fellow soldiers who died at the front during the Great Patriotic War, are the hallmark of the village.
