Gray-glazed hornbill [1] ( Bycanistes subcylindricus ) is a large hornbill from the African hornbill , up to 70 cm in size. Plumage black and white. The bill is very large, darkish with a large helmet on top. Females are significantly smaller than males.

Gray-shelled Hornbills are common in evergreen forests and savannas of equatorial Africa , also in the central and western parts of it. Monogamous view, builds a nest in the hollows of trees. Females usually lay two eggs. Food usually consists of figs , fruits, insects and small animals.
A fairly widespread bird within its range .
