Biography
He worked as a foreign correspondent for Reuters , covering political events around the world.
He began his literary career in 1969 with the publication of the humorous detective “Snatch!” (Abduction!), Which in 1976 was filmed by director Claude Pinoto under the title “ Superplut ” with Yves Montand and Claude Brasser in the lead roles.
The second spy novel “Once A Spy” was published only in 1981. This was followed by novels from a series about Detective Inspector John Madden:
- River of Darkness (1999)
- The Blood-Dimmed Tide (2003)
- The Dead of Winter (2009)
- The Reckoning (2014)
- The Death of Kings (2017).
In 2000 he was awarded the Grand Prix of Police Literature (Grand prix de littérature policière).
Currently resides in Italy.
