Al-Hamra ( Arabic: الحمراء ) is a village in the west of Syria , located in the governorate of Hama . It is part of the Hama region. It is the center of the same name Nakhi .

Geographical position
The village is located in the northern part of the governorate, at an altitude of 508 meters above sea level [1] .
Al Hamra is located approximately 30 kilometers northeast of Hama , the provincial capital, and 206 kilometers north-northeast (NNE) from Damascus , the country's capital.
Population
According to the 2004 official census, the village had a population of 1,783 (921 men and 862 women). There were 258 households [2] .
