History
In the second half of the 18th century, as a result of the reform of the Military Border , the Nasodsky Border District was created in these places, which became the base for the 2nd Wallachian border infantry regiment. This regiment distinguished itself in the era of the Napoleonic Wars, fighting at Arkola and near Austerlitz. In 1849, the town, the former base of the regiment, was burned to the ground by Hungarian rebels, only a few public buildings remained.
In 1851, the regiment was disbanded, and the town in which it was based became an ordinary settlement.
