Play career
Rosa began his career in the academies of Leipzig “Lokomotiv” and “ Leipzig ”, for which he debuted in 1995. In 2000, Marco moved to the " Hannover 96 ", which in 2002 went to the Bundesliga . In the same year, Rose became a player in the Mainz 05 club.
In 2010, Rosa ended his professional career and moved to the backup team of Mainz, where he continued to enter the field and became an assistant head coach [2] .
Coaching career
In June 2012, Rose became the head coach of the Leipzig Lokomotiv [3] . At the end of the 2012/13 season, he saved the team from relegation from the Regional League and left the team [4] .
In July 2013, Rosa joined the Red Bull Salzburg [5] , where in the coming years he was the head coach of junior teams up to 16, 18 and 19 years old. With a team under 19 in April 2017, he won the UEFA Youth League .
In June 2017, Rose became the head coach of the first Red Bull team [6] . In the very first season, Rosa led the team to victory in the championship and led her to the national cup final and Europa League semi- final . In May 2018, Red Bull extended the contract with him until 2020. [7]
On April 10, 2019, it was announced that from the beginning of the 2019-20 season , Marco Rosé would become the head coach of the Bundesliga club, standing at the helm of Borussia Mönchengladbach [8] [9] .
Personal life
Grandson of the former German national team player Walter Rose . Is in a relationship, have a daughter [10] .
